The author, Allan M. Hegland, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota (magna cum laude, Phi Beta
Kappa) and a master's from the University of Pennsylvania. A polymath translator of technical literature (from about
20 European languages) he estimates that he has written 40 million words on various technical subjects, whose content was
chosen by his clients, not by himself. He is well versed in nearly all fields of technology and has made use of his
extensive technical knowledge to write this book which lambasts politically correct theories, taught as fact and accepted
at the expense of true empirical science, for which he has deep respect.
